Welcome to Cosmo Festival 2012

1st – 4th JUNE 2012

Cosmo Festival is a unique celebration of psychedelic music, art and culture that extends for 4 days and 3 nights over the June bank holiday weekend.  Synchronised with a full moon lunar eclipse and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the gathering provides an opportunity to embrace an alternative existence with a couple of thousand like minded human beings.

LOCATION: Taunton Racecourse, Somerset, UK

A peaceful and surreal place situated 5 miles outside of Taunton. Being a racecourse it presents a beautiful 360 degree panoramic view spreading miles into the beautiful Somerset countryside. While it’s the ideal private place for you to party, the location is still convenient to the town and accessible by public transport.

MUSIC: 3 stages

Cosmo 2012 features multimedia artists and musicians from across the globe in electronic dance music styles ranging from psy trance, Goa trance, techno, progressive, psy breaks, chillout/ambient, minimal techno, underground house, breaks, live acoustic and other styles of some of the most rapidly evolving electronic music on the planet. We go to extensive efforts to feature some of the most exclusive and cutting edge artists from all over the world, with our artists travelling from over 20 different countries to perform at the festival. We pride ourselves in bringing you rarely seen acts to the UK and have a rigorous selection process, which ensures that only the most musically talented are given prominence to across all our stages.

ARTS VILLAGE

Cosmo 2012 will feature an sacred fire circle, dance performances, classical music, visionary art, fire & juggling shows, art installations and live painting, face painting show, a drumming circle and many more activities.

Workshops will engage you in painting, yoga and massage as well as a broad range of lectures on topics of sustainable living, Mayan prophecy, visionary art and many other topics. We endeavour to cultivate and encourage an open minded and intellectual culture, engaging you in interesting talks and activities.

MULTIMEDIA

A Multimedia area will ensure you can be connected online whilst being at the festival. We’ve an interesting store of independent movies and audio visual performances which for sure will keep you entertained apart from the music.

This year we would identify a special theme for each day of the festival to associate with the sports and fun activities to be presented in the program. We like to see as many of you to be dressed in colourful yet silly costumes at the festival to add the humour of dressing styles. Bring your costumes and also be ready to rumble in team sports activities for adventure.
